England’s TONY O’SHEA gave himself the perfect birthday present by hitting a 9-dart 501 leg in the Second Round of the Topic International Darts League in Holland.
The England International from Stockport did so in his 7-4 victory over Adrian Lewis on Wednesday, May 9th – his 46th birthday!
Scotland’s GARY ANDERSON continued his unbeaten run with a 7-6 victory over England’s Gary Robson, in which he recorded another impressive 34.55 single dart average.
MARK WEBSTER of Wales also maintained his unbeaten IDL debut with a conclusive 7-2 victory over James Wade of England. England’s DARRYL FITTON recorded the highest single dart average of the night with 35.32 in his victory over Phil Taylor.
It was an outstanding night for the BDO/WDF players, who enjoyed victory in 7 of the 8 matches played. The only PDC victory was in the all PDC match between Michael van Gerwen and Raymond Barneveld, which was won 7-5 by Barneveld.
