The IDPA are pleased to announce the formation of the Super 64 circuit, 48 men and 16 ladies.
We wish to place on record our sincere thanks to Mike Ganley of World Snooker who kindly advised on how the snooker circuit is administrated and we believe that the advice given can only enhance our sport and Association if put into practice.
A new IDPA ranking system has been collated the past 12 months on a trail basis and from this list invitations to players will be made. The first Tournament for the new rankings will be the 2007 Winmau World Masters followed by the forthcoming Zuiderduin Masters.
There will be an initial two year season and at the end of the season 40 men and 12 ladies will retain their Super 64 status.
Discussions with the BDO are taking place for a separate ranking system involving the County system that will then be used to decide players progress into Super 64.
Invitations are now being sent out and the full list of players taking part will be published as soon as possible
