EDDIE BUCHAN

The news of the death of Eddie Buchan on Tuesday 7th August 2007. takes away from darts  the sort of person and player that is not only the backbone of their chosen sport but someone who by just being a part of the game enhances everything that is good about our sport.

A man never without a smile with a passion for our sport both on and off the oche, Eddie’s courage facing his illness was unbelievable. Only last week he rang the IDPA office. Why did he ring? Even with the massive problems he faced, he found time to telephone because he wanted to pass on his backing and support to someone, who at the time, badly needed it!

Such a person was Eddie Buchan. He leaves us all with great memories. He will be sorely missed but will never be forgotten.

To Eddies family our sincere condolences and to the “Wee Man” thanks for being part of our sport and above all our lives
