MAIN ARENA, KETTERING LEISURE VILLAGE
SATURDAY, JULY 28TH & SUNDAY, JULY 29TH
The BDO British Classic Darts Championships, sponsored by Red Dragondarts.com, return to Kettering for the tenth successive year as the major attraction of a weekend of top-class darts in the Main Arena, Kettering Leisure Village on Saturday, July 28th and Sunday, July 29th.
Many of the top names in darts – Men and Women – will be competing in the BDO British Classic on Sunday, July 29th, and the Men’s Champion will receive a cheque for £2,000 plus the BDO British Classic Trophy.
However, the weekend opens with the BDO/Elkadart/Darts World British Teenage Great Britain Finals and the BDO British Inter-County Youth KO Cup, in which the talented youth players of tomorrow (boys and girls) will compete for prizes to the value of £2,000 and the Barbara Wood Trophy
The British Darts Organisation has been staging world-class darts in Kettering for the last ten years, and the Main Arena at Kettering Leisure Village is now firmly established as the home of the BDO British Classic.
“We originally chose Kettering because of its accessibility to players from all over the country”, says Olly Croft of the BDO, “and the choice has proved to be a good one. We have been made so welcome by local people that it is now regarded as a real home from home for one of our major ranked events.”
Play in the Men’s and Women’s BDO British Classic Singles Championships starts at 10.30AM on Sunday, July 29th, and non-playing spectators can enjoy several hours of world class darts for admission of just £6 payable on the door. There is also a unique opportunity to see the darts stars of tomorrow in action on Saturday, July 28th when non-playing spectators are welcome on the day for admission of £5 payable on the door. |
