'Doctor Darts' launches new website...
Written by Patrick Chaplin - Dr Darts Monday, 17 December 2007

Dr Patrick Chaplin the renowned darts historian (and long-time casual pub dart player) launched his new and improved website on 14th December.

Working with webmaster David King (of www.Darts501.com fame) Patrick’s new site features over 140 pages of facts, myths and reviews about the sport of darts.

Ever wondered why darts players play 501?  Do you know who invented the dartboard numbering system? Well, you will find all this and lots, lots more, at the new, improved www.patrickchaplin.com.

There is a wealth of new material on the site, including three downloadable pod cast interviews of Patrick talking about darts with Phil Clark, the landlord of the Brit and Yankee virtual pub (based in Chicago). It also has a feature that can quickly translate this unique darts site into twelve languages, truly spreading the word of darts and darts history across the globe.

Patrick, whose research work is currently part-sponsored by the Winmau Dartboard Co., Red Dragon and NODOR, is certain that his new site will be of interest to everyone who loves darts, which is probably the most popular participation sport in the world.

Of his new website Patrick has said, “It’s been great working with David King on this project. I think between us, with my unique knowledge of the history of darts and David’s amazing technical skills, we have created a site of interest to all darts fans and one that all dart sites will want to link to.”

The existing website regularly appears in the top twenty top darts sites in the world, but Patrick anticipates even more visitors being attracted to the new site.
